Community College costs vs. Wealthy Affiliate

By | 05/05/2015

Most community colleges will charge as follows:WA1

$84/credit hour for residents

$325/credit hour for non-residents

(based on information from Arizona Maricopa Community Colleges)

Some will charge less some will charge more; it depends on where you are. Just for this demonstration we are going to assume that you will take one class each semester. Most classes will normally give you 3 credits toward your education. So for one class it will cost you $252 dollars. To complete your associates’ degree you will have to complete at least 60 credit hours and it will take you as long as two years or more. So just to get a two year degree it will cost you $5,040 dollars and that is only if they do not raise the price on you and this does not include books or supplies. So it will cost you $252 dollars per class and you will take two classes a year which works out to $504 dollars just to learn two subjects.

The normal price at Wealthy Affiliates is $19 dollars for the first month and $47 a month there after. That works out to $537 a year and you get to learn everything you need to know to become an Internet Marketer in one place. Or, you can pay $359 for the whole year which works out to $30 a month.

At Wealthy Affiliate you also get 25 sub domain websites and 25 registrar websites. Registrars are companies that allow you to buy A URL which is your website address. Having your own URL will allow you to have full control of your website at Wealthy Affiliate. Sub-domain websites have limited control but are still useful if you cannot get a URL from a registrar. Either way you go, you will get 25 websites which will be more than enough to do a great many things. If you are able to buy your URL’s you will need to host the URL somewhere. Some of the registrars will give you a few pages to build your website with, some will not. Some of the registrars will have plans that you can buy to host your website or you can link your URL to some other place that will host your website. In any case you will have to buy a monthly hosting plan. Not at Wealthy Affiliates, all hosting is free with your premium membership.

Let’s say that you join Wealthy Affiliate for free. You get 7days to check it out; you will have full access to everything. Plus you get two free sub-domain websites with .sitrubix. You also get access to the first ten lessons in “Getting Started” and ten lessons in the “Boot Camp”. Let’s also say that you do not want to join just yet. What happens then? Your account will still be there but with diminished access. You will not be able to participate in the community nor will you be able to ask or answer any questions. You will still have access to your two free sites and the twenty lessons for ever if you want.

So now let’s say you decide to stay on with Wealthy Affiliate and you pay $19 dollars for your first month. You start your first website and develop your content using Wealthy affiliate to host it, if you had hosted the site somewhere else you would have to pay probably another $5 dollars a month. Your 2nd month will be $47 minus $5 for hosting at WA. So now your membership is only costing $42 dollars a month. The more websites you create and host with WA, the cheaper your membership will become. Now let’s say you upgraded to a yearly membership, you paid $359 which works out to $30 dollars a month. By this time you may have two websites, at $5 dollars a site for hosting means your monthly membership is only $20 dollars a month. As you can see, the more websites you have the cheaper your membership will become.

As a WA member you can promote Wealthy Affiliate on your website(s) or build a website to promote WA on its own. If you get just a few people to join, your membership can be free plus you can actually make some money for yourself.

STARTER Member Commissions:

Initial $19 offer, Commission = $4
$47/month, Commission = $11.25 recurring
$359/year, Commission = $87.50 recurring

PREMIUM Member Commissions: (100% higher commissions!!!)

Credits: They Set-up their account = $1
Initial $19 offer, Commission = $8
$47/month, Commission = $22.50 recurring
$359/year, Commission = $175 recurring!

As you can see Wealthy Affiliate is a great place to earn money. You will learn how to become an Internet Marketer and you do not have to do it alone. Not only do you get access to great training material but, you also get access to all the tools you need to create a really nice website. If you do not have a product of your own, they have one available that really works. You will also have the backing of a very large community that you will build your own network from.

Great looking site and information. It is so true to the differences in cost and with schooling after all the debt you still need to find a job. With your own business you can be making money without the debt if you built yourself the Wealthy Affiliate program online business.
Even if you when to school for business to start your own business you will normally need thousands of dollars to get that started as well. I started a renovation business years ago and it was not cheap then and it’s not cheap now.
Wealthy Affiliate is the way to go!

Hello Travis, Thanks for dropping by. Your are right, I spent a few thousands getting my EIN. My comparison only shows what the tuition cost would be and that WA is by far a better deal.

Thanks and have a great day!

Hi Rob, I really like how you broke this article don’t into bite size pieces to compare college fees and Wealthy Affiliate. If could turn back the clock I’d never have wasted my time at college, but then I didn’t know about Wealthy Affiliate back then lol. Now that I know about Wealthy Affiliate and have been with them for nearly 3 years, I’d definitely recommend it over and above college.

Hello Sharon, thanks for dropping by and leaving your comment. I do feel the same, wish I had known about WA back when I went to college as well. I do not regret my years in college but it would have been a bit easier if I had WA at the same time.

Thanks and have a great day! 🙂

    Hi Bob, the Gamer,

I like the way you put WA as an resemble of gaming. Indeed, it requires a strong team to move you forward. The team is the members and the training at WA. I hope you will fight till the end to win this round and achieve what you desire from your online business.

Hello Alex, thanks for the comment. In most RPG it takes a group to accomplish a goal, you can do it by yourself but it is not as fun and it could take you a long time. With WA you get that team real quick so you do not have to do it alone.

      Have a great day! 🙂
